A ROMANTIC couple tied the knot at historic Lytham Hall at the weekend after deciding Valentine's Day was a perfect wedding date.

Victoria Harrison, 39, of Keasden Avenue, Blackpool, and Noureddine Darkouche, 35, from Casablanca, Morocco, dated on Majorca eight months ago after their eyes met across a crowded bar.

He was working as a barman and she was on holiday with her mother, but it was love at first sight.

A whirlwind holiday romance followed but instead of fizzling out with the plane ticket home, romance blossomed for Victoria and Noureddine.

When Victoria, who works as a secretary at British Aerospace, returned home the letters followed.

Victoria decided she had to go out to Spain to see Noureddine again and he proposed to her.

Desperate to be together for Christmas, the couple went to the authorities in Spain to arrange a British visa for Noureddine.

And on Saturday, their love was sealed when they exchanged marriage vows at Lytham Hall before leaving for their honeymoon in York.

Victoria's mother Rosa said: "It has been very romantic. I was very pleased with the wedding. Everything went perfectly."

Victoria said: "We wanted to get married on Valentine's Day because it is so romantic.

"When we met, I just thought he was gorgeous and he told me I was beautiful.

"My friends and family are very happy for me .

"I have not met Noureddine's parents but we are going over soon for a Moroccan-style wedding.

"We are looking forward to life together and as we both love children we plan to start a family soon."
