I THINK it is unfair of J E Shackleton, B J Booth and Christina Taylor (Letters, February 23) to criticise Coun Sue Reid over her recent actions regarding the Mayor's ball.
Having known Coun Reid for some years, I know that she is a hard-working councillor and has done a lot of work for charity, including helping some of the poorest people in the Third World and many local causes.
Perhaps, before writing to the paper, people may wish to contact Coun Reid directly to obtain her side of the story.
After all, there are two sides to every argument. Only one side - the Mayor's - seems to have been put.
