I WISH to congratulate your Newspapers in Education page (LET, February 2). The letters from the pupils of St Bede's RC school were very informative and compassionate.
Well done, the teachers, for exposing world animal cruelty and providing information to them.
We must not turn out backs and ignore deliberate unnecessary suffering inflicted on any animal and we must treat creation with respect and responsibility.
Each pupil sensibly pointed out that people should know of the ill-treatment many animals suffer.
SHEILA BRENNAN, Bombay Street, Blackburn.
