TWO East Lancashire areas were revealed as the county blackspots for infant deaths and low weight babies.
Statistics showed that during 1986, Blackburn had more babies weighing in at less than 5.5lbs than anywhere else in Lancashire. And Rossendale and Blackburn emerged as the county blackspots for babies dying before their first birthday.
