A COUNCIL was accused of misusing its powers to cover up "blunders" by town hall officers.
Coun Peter Holmes claimed Blackburn Council was keeping the press and public out of meetings to save embarrassment.
His attack came as council leader Frank Higham proposed a confidential full council debate over a commercial rent row.
