FIONA GAVIN showed a quality field a swift pair of heels.
In a class cross country relay, the Leigh Harrier recorded the fastest lap at 5.50 - beating top runners from Liverpool, East Cheshire and host club Sale.
Her quicktime wasn't enough to earn the Leigh team a winning spot.
But fourth behind Liverpool, Bury and Sale was a fantastic effort.
Fiona was joined by Elizabeth Heaton (6.21) and Amanda Fearnley (6.14).
Another Leigh grouping (Amy Crean 6.53, Amy Wood 7.10 and Jen Heavey 6.45) completed the distance in 18th position.
