A MOTHER and father have been fined £65 each with £60 costs over their daughter's non-appearance at school.
Bury Magistrates heard the couple's 13-year-old daughter, a pupil at Broad Oak High School, had failed to attend the school at all during the last autumn term.
The couple, who had originally pleaded not guilty to a charge of being the parent of a child who failed to attend regularly at school, changed their plea to guilty.
The prosecution was the latest in a series brought by the local education authority.
