THE aftermath of the Gulf War not only affects veterans with Gulf War Syndrome, it also affects thousands of Iraqi children, who now suffer from cancer, as a result of weapons used in the war.
The warheads were treated with uranium to enable them to penetrate armour.
Along with Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Chernobyl, this is another example of the legacy of nuclear power, which has been handed down to us.
