UGB 14 Adlington 61 UG scored tries through Lee Glover and Grimshaw in the first half, but still trailed 27-8 at half-time.
And weak tackling after the break allowed their rivals to surge further ahead.
However, man-of-the-match Grimshaw grabbed his second try and Ball converted.
