BOLD Miners won three games in five games as they try to cut their fixture backlog.

Their first success came in a 42-nil home victory over UGB. In heavy conditions tries came from Mark Rigby (2), Darren Anders (2), C. Tarbuck, Nick Joseph, M. Mitchell and Dave Scott.

Grundys Excavations man of the match was M. Rigby.

Two days later they won 15-10 at Haydock in the quarter-final of the Hays Chemicals St Helens Cup.

Their try scorers were Darren Anders, and Ste Prole.

Man of the match was Dave Davies.

And in their final success Bold won 46-32 at Leigh Harriers.

First-half tries came from Brian Connaire (2) and Nick Joseph.

And after the break, they continued the good work with touchdowns from Phil Hewitt, Mark Rigby and M. Mitchell.
