THE Carr Mill Hotel is set to host the biggest game of the crown green season so far.

It's the home leg of Merseyside County's tie with South Yorkshire this Sunday.

Skippered by Brown Edge's Paul Gartside, the side is packed with stars of the St Helens League and includes:

Kevin Kearns, Alan Heaton and Shaun Keenaghan (Thatto Heath Railway), Harvey Birch (North Ashton Village Club), James Harrison, Neil Ditchfield and Mike Bradshaw (British Plate), Alan Rigby (Warden Rebels), Ivan Bellis and Mark Shaw (Walton Park) and vice-captain Ray Kitchen (Eccleston BC).

Reserves are Stuart Lomax, Morris Owen and Mark Reid (Thatto Heath Railway) and Peter McGovern (Green Dragon).

Team manager is Alan Horton of North Ashton Village Club and the action starts at 3pm.

The away team play at Woodlands Social Club, Doncaster.
