Bramley 14pts Lancashire Lynx 19
LYNX turned in an impressive performance at Headingley to defeat previously undefeated league leaders Bramley.
Kevin Tamati's men showed plenty of spirit and resolve throughout the game to come away with a deserved victory.
Lynx were on the defensive from the start and the home side capitalised on their possession with tries in the fifth and 13th minutes through Steve Pickles and Wayne Freeman.
However, two minutes later Lynx were on the score sheet when Andy Ruane and Neil Parsley combined to send in Phil Jones for a try. Lynx edged ahead after a Phil Jones penalty when, after pressure on the Bramley line, P J Solomon slipped through some feeble defence to touch down, Phil Jones adding the conversion to give Lynx a 12-10 half time advantage.
Things got better for Lynx three minutes into the second half when Jayson Pekepo touched down in the corner, again Phil Jones added the conversion. Little was seen of Bramley as an attacking force, but Lynx were caught out in the 53rd minute.
