I AM grateful to Graham Page (Letters, April 23) for the RE instruction.
I am, however, aware that people who actively celebrate such outdated Christian festivals as Good Friday are now in the minority in Blackburn.
Also, as Mr Page seems to be a spokesman for bus drivers and shopworkers (I worked 15 years in shops and nine years on the buses), I'm sure he will know enough volunteers would be forthcoming to run the services on Good Friday.
If he wants any lessons in Christian practices, he should take a look at the palaces the bosses live in while people sleep rough in cardboard boxes.
SAM SPENCE, Ribblesdale Place, Blackburn.
