GLEN Little, Gerry Harrison and Andy Cooke have dominated the Clarets supporters' Player of the Year awards.

The awards, some of which will be given to the players ahead of Saturday's crunch game with Plymouth at Turf Moor, reflect outstanding seasons by the trio.

Midfielder Little has emerged as one of Burnley's most influential players after being left out of the side for the first half of the season, while Harrison has been a model of consistency at the back.

Cooke has scored 18 goals going into tomorrow's must win game, despite not being a regular up to Christmas - his best return yet for the club.

Little will receive the Player of the Year award and Goal of the Season accolade for his recent strike against Grimsby at the Accrington Clarets AGM next week.

Club chairman Phil Miller said: "Glen's efforts since he came into the side have been unbelievable. "If it hadn't been for his efforts we would probably have been in the same trouble as Carlisle and Southend. Every since he came in he has been superb and we wouldn't have been in this position if he had been in from the start. We felt he had promise last year and since January he has been outstanding."

The Accrington Clarets made Kevin Henderson their Young Player of the Year thanks to his contributions when coming off the bench for the Clarets and also for his performances in the reserves.

The Boundary Clarets have gone for Gerry Harrison as their top player with Cooke as the Young Player of the Season.

Little again won the Goal of the Season Award and Gordon Cowans will get an award for his success in guiding the reserves to the verge of promotion.

Spokesman Paul Smith said: "It was between Gerry Harrison and Glen Little, but over the whole season Gerry has been the most consistent player and the most improved performer.

"We hope we can keep hold of him and build the team around players like him, Cooke, Weller, Brass, Smith and Little."

The Rossendale Clarets have chosen Harrison as their Player of the Year with Little as their Young Player and the Colne Clarets make Little their top man and Cooke their best Young Player.
