PEOPLE who attended the concert 'Mary Magdalene' at St Paul's Church, Barnfield, Accrington, on Sunday evening enjoyed an accomplished performance by the Conchord Singers.
More than 70 people attended the concert, which tells the story of Christ's resurrection.
Alvin Ansell, who co-ordinated the event, was delighted with the response which attracted many more people than has previously been the experience with concerts. He said much of this success was down to the excellent reporting which was afforded to the event by the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
A further concert is being arranged in conjunction with the Conchord Singers for later in the year.
GORDON WHEWELL, Hollins Lane, Accrington.
