CO-OPERATION and communication were the themes of an Industry Day at Peel Park County Primary School, Accrington.
After a day of hectic activity, designing and printing T-shirts, producing carrier bags and sandwiches, some children sent us their own account of the event.
The experiences and thoughts of most children in the groups are summed up in this report by by Amy Croasdale, Year 6.
"On our Industry Day, pupils in years five and six designed T-shirts and made carrier bags, working with people from other classes.
"Each group had six or seven pupils and a leader who was a person from industry or from another school. They all just wanted to help.
"My group's leader was very nice and helped our group a lot.
"Before we decorated our T-shirts we had to draw a design connected with our theme of communication. Then we put this on our T-shirts using fabric crayons and a hot iron.
"In the afternoon we made lots of carrier bags to hold our T-shirts using team work. Then we gave prizes to the group that had co-operated best and for the best T-shirt design."
