COMMISERATIONS to quiz whiz Allen Quaill, of Leigh, who had the guts to appear on Channel 4's popular 15 to 1.

He was unfortunate to be positioned next to the last two series' double victor laudorum, airline pilot Nick Terry, who went on to win the heat again.

Unfortunately Allen was knocked out after the first round. But it's all a matter of luck.

He could probably have answered 90 per cent of the other contestants' questions.

It's easy to be a couch potato champ, but to stand up there on a TV set is a whole different ballgame. It takes nerves of steel to face an audience, a camera and know that millions are watching.

I love quizzes, but there's no way I would be able to stand up to the challenge.
