FAMILIES in Westleigh Lane, Leigh, were astonished when they were woken up at 12.10am on Friday by the sounds of a trundling wheelie bin.

They were even more shocked to see the probably-piddled-up-pillock pulling it, discharge its contents all over the pavement, turn around and shoot off dragging the empty vessel behind him.

One of the unfortunate recipients of his venom went out to examine the debris, and fumed all night before calling in the council at 9am. They were on the ball to clear up and by 10.10am the mess was gone.

You can't beat that for efficiency.

The council usually receives more brickbats than bouquets, but in this case the residents have given deserved applause for their swift action.

It's such a pity that there are such braindead people spoiling the area when the pupils of Westleigh High School have been working so hard to tidy it up.

And to the prat responsible I'd like to point out that if he plans doing it again he would be wise to remove any letters bearing his name and address from the contents!
