THRILLED villagers were preparing to return to normal life after a public inquiry put an end to Sunday markets.
Gisburn residents suffered "serious disturbances and inconvenience" as a result of Sunday markets, said inquiry inspector Steven Fox. He threw out an appeal against an enforcement notice by Ribble Valley Council.
Borough councillor Catherine Hooper said: "We are delighted."
