WHAT a delight it was to watch a circus which didn't profit from the degradation, humiliation and suffering of animals.
The Moscow State Circus at Witton Park, Blackburn was excellent family entertainment and I left feeling happy instead of sad as I had done previously after visiting a circus which used animals.
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of those animals. I feel sad and ashamed that we let this go on in a "nation of animal lovers."
Don't spend your hard-earned money on their misery - there are animal-free circuses around. Support them instead.
