A COMMONS storm erupted over a claim by Inner Cities Minister Kenneth Clarke that it was boom time in Lancashire.
He angered Labour MPs by insisting the county's economy was looking up and doles queues were shortening faster than ever.
Burnley MP Peter Pike called on Mr Clarke to visit the north east of the county to see the problems people faced.
