KEEN walker Peter Fielding is planning a 127-mile trek to raise £1,000 for a special school.
The Blackburn butcher will walk the complete length of the Leeds to Liverpool Canal over three days early next month.
Peter, 59, from Brownhill Drive hopes to raise more than £1,000 for the Dame Evelyn Fox Special School in Roman Road.
And the latest fund-raising drive will be the third time Peter, who works at Rowles Butchers in Darwen, has raised cash for the school.
He explained: "I used to go to the Blackamoor Open Air School which is on the same site as Dame Evelyn Fox.
"I went back to visit around 15 years ago and the school needs every penny it can get hold of."
Peter is a Freemason and has been offered help with his fund-raising activities from lodges across the North.
He added: "I have got a target of a £1,000 in my mind but, hopefully, I can raise more than that.
"I don't want to walk 127 miles to raise peanuts. Hopefully we will do really well."
Peter's wife Barbara is hoping to join him for 45 miles when he walks through East Lancashire.
