DEPARTMENT store group Debenhams has reported strong sales despite difficult conditions on the high street.
The firm said its wide spread of stores across the country, including Blackburn, helped the group cope with an otherwise tough June for the high street.
For the 19 weeks to July 11 underlying sales, excluding the impact of new space, rose by 3.2 per cent against the same period last year.
