THREE second half Mark Hayes goals gave Great Harwood Town a 3-0 victory over Nelson in a friendly at Victoria Park on Saturday.

The striker latched on to a far post Robinson cross, converted a penalty, and knocked in a rebound after good work from David Livesey and Steve Grunshaw.

Great Harwood tonight take on Ramsbottom United at The Showground (k.o. 7.30pm). Ramsbottom's Friday evening game at Eagley FC was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

ROSSENDALE United established a 4-0 lead in their away game on Saturday against last season's NWCFL Division Two champions Oldham Town, but the home side pulled back two second half goals.

United's scorers were forwards Scott McQuarry (2), Darren Maloney (penalty) and Wes Young.

DARWEN travelled to take on Barnoldswick United in a pre-season friendly and came away with a 1-1 draw.

David Barnes was Darwen's goalscorer after the Anchor men had fallen behind to a first half penalty.

COLNE lost 3-0 against Unibond Premier League side Witton Albion away at Wincham Park.

Colne's keeper jinx struck again. Neither of their two keepers turned up and Sean Giblin went in goal.

Next Saturday Colne play host to Crosshills at the Dynamoes Stadium, kick off 3pm.
