POLICE are searching for two men, one of whom swore at staff before stealing a pair of walking boots from at the Karrimor factory shop at Petre Road Industrial Estate, Clayton-le-Moors, at noon last Thursday.
Staff tackled the raiders after they were spotted acting suspiciously. One was abusive to an assistant before grabbing a pair of chestnut leather Malvern boots, valued at £79.95, and escaping with his accomplice.
Both men were Asian. One was in his mid 20s, 5ft 10ins, stocky, with short, black hair, stubble and a chubby face. He was wearing a green jacket and blue jeans.
The other was about 21, 5ft 7ins, slim, with short, black hair and a big nose. He wore a red jacket and white jeans.
