REGARDING Albert Morris's remarks (Letters, August 24) about the two Sunday school teachers who said if Princess Diana hadn't repented she would have gone to hell, I do not know the two gentlemen personally, but I do understand why they made the statement.

Obviously, Mr Morris is not a bible-reading man. Otherwise, he would know that the two teachers were simply quoting scripture, which they believe to be the word of God.

I feel Mr Morris should know that, since heaven was created by God, He is the one who decides who will enter, and He does have standards.

Anyone who has not repented of their sins God says, will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

That probably includes most of us, unless we repent. I personally am relying on Jesus and the blood He shed for me, to get me into heaven, for the Bible also says that no-one can get into heaven through good deeds.

So, yes, Princess Diana was a wonderful caring person, who did many good works, but that wouldn't get her into heaven.

Draw your own conclusion. Do we tell the truth, or do we say what people want to hear?

I leave you to make your minds up. The Bible does also say the truth shall set you free. Let us not take lightly the word of God.
