EVERGREEN Tom Milmine's Seven Up spurred Glazebury to a great win.

They beat Vulcan by three wickets with Milmine's 7-25 destroying the opposition who finished on 100.

Glazebury, too, found runs hard to find, but won at 102-7 with skipper Gareth Banks leading the way on a patient unbeaten 29.

Frank Bierne's gritty 16, however, helped them from a precarious 46-6.

Glazebury 2nd also beat Vulcan. Chasing 93 (Stuart Caller taking 6-46, Mark Tomlinson 4-24), they rushed to 95-1 with Graham Harrop unbeaten on 48 and Roger Davenport 35.

But, for Leigh, it was a sad case of Seven Down as they rapidly slip from the lofty heights after crashing to a seventh straight defeat.

This time Wallasey, runners-up last season, beat them by seven wickets - and they now lie fourth, 29 points behind leaders Southport.

Leigh's first six batsmen reached double figures. But only Steve Bailey, with a fine 63, lasted the pace with nine fours and two sixes in his 77-ball innings. Kane Kersnovske and Andy Mullaney scored 25 each, Tim McKiernan was undefeated on 26 at the declaration (182-9). But Wallasey were always in command as they strolled to 184-3.

Leigh have a mountain to climb, beginning this weekend with games against Formby and Colwyn Bay.
