LANCASTER youngster Chris Stoves will be running the race of his life on Sunday.

Chris, 14, a member of Lancaster Athletic Club, will compete in the McDonald's Young Athlete League race at the prestigious SPAR British Challenge at Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow.

He will be able to observe some of the world's finest athletes in the world in Britain's premiere international event of the year including Colin Jackson and Butch Reynolds.

To win a place on the big day Chris ran one of the fastest 400m times in his age group this year, and is one of the favourites for Sunday's race. Find out how he performed in next week's Citizen.
