DISGRACE, awful, disgusting, intolerable - what am I referring to?
The compound of trailers, tractors, concrete sea-bed stacks, dust, noise and vibration from Starr Gate car park and Promenade.
Letters to Blackpool Council go unanswered, telephone calls are treated with apathy and, most worrying of all, being told it's only "a minor irritation" for two more years.
Already local residents have suffered two and a half years, one year for work being carried out a quarter of a mile away.
The slogan "working for the people" doesn't apply to New South Promenade residents. We ask one favour of officials and elected members - come and meet us. This I very much doubt will happen, but we live in hope.
