THREE stagestruck Fylde teenagers will be in the spotlight in Manchester.

The actresses are all taking part in the Manchester Youth Theatre's three productions until September 5.

Ruth Hage, 18, from South Shore, Suzy Rendell, 18, from Cleveleys, and Sarah Brookes, 17, of North Shore, will appear at the prestigious Library Theatre and Green Room Theatre.

The group has been rehearsing for the peformances of Steven Berkoff's Agamemnon, Joshua Sobol's Ghetto and The Red Devils - by TV playwright Debbie Horsfield - since the beginning of August.

Ruth is a keen make-up artist as well as an actress, having competed in a national hairdressing and body-painting contest and doing the make-up for the opening of a Blackpool nightclub earlier this month.

Rossall School pupil Suzy, one of the central characters in The Red Devils, has just passed a top singing exam, and Sarah has taken part in youth theatre productions at Blackpool's Grand Theatre.

The Manchester Youth Theatre operates every summer, this year taking 248 youngsters on improvisation, backstage, production and acting courses.

Agamemnon is at the Library Theatre until Saturday (August 29), Ghetto from September 1-5, and The Red Devils at the Green Room from August 27-September 2. Box office: (0161) 236 7110.
