BURGLARS are targeting pubs in and around Carnforth.

The George Washington at Warton was broken into on Friday and thieves stole £400 cash and £450 worth of cigarettes from the vending machine. They smashed open the charity box.

Later The Nib pub was burgled between 3am and 9am on Saturday morning. The thieves broke in through the rear door and stole bottles of liquor.

The Carnforth Hotel was targeted between 11.30 on Monday night and 7.30 Tuesday morning. They took cash from bandits and cigarettes.
