AN 18-year-old man needed hospital treatment after being set on by a 12-strong gang of thugs as he waited for a taxi outside the Woodlands pub in Woodlands Road, Haresfinch.
The attack happened at about 11.40pm on Friday, August 21 when the man was knocked to the ground by the gang who then stole his white Ellesse trainers valued at £55.
The teenager was taken to St Helens Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
