YOUNGSTERS in Newton were given the chance to learn about their neighbours in different countries when they took part in a Multi-Cultural Day at Newton Family and Community Centre.
Volunteers representing various countries including China, India, Spain, France and Greece, were on hand throughout the day and there were also demonstrations in cookery, Hindi-writing and henna painting.
Centre worker, Ann Keen said: "The event was a complete success and everyone was full of praise for the children's good behaviour. I would also like to thank La Casa Vieja Restaurant and the Jade Chinese Takeaway for providing food free of charge."
