THE Introduction to Sources for Local History course will be running again from the middle of September.

The course aims to make people aware of the range of documentary evidence available for local history study in the St Helens Local History and Archives department and elsewhere.

The original 18th and 19th century documents, maps and various archives will be used to gain an insight into the history of St Helens.

The course is 12 weeks long and sessions will be held at the Local History Department in the Central Library on Tuesday evenings between 6.45 and 8.30pm.

Places on the course are limited, so arrive promptly to avoid disappointment. For further details (including fees) and to secure a place, contact course tutor, Fay Appleby, on 755813.
