THE Eagles (Leigh last year when they were Division One runners-up, Bowling Green for this new season in the Leigh & District Amateur Football League) were almost bowled over as a new campaign kicked off.
Two early goals saw them struggling at Atherton C&N. But they came back to share the spoils at 3-3, Wood, Jackson and Davies on target for C&N, Forshaw, Canny and Andrews for Eagles.
