PRIDE was restored for Astley & Tyldesley Cycle Speedway riders on Saturday.

They clinched third spot in the final round of the British Junior League - with Damien Hack scoring a maximum 16 points at U16s.

Good scores too from Robert Black (U13s) and Lee Smethills (U19s).

After riding the "beach" at sandy Sheffield, A&T rode the "sea" at Stoke on Sunday.

Torrential rain made conditions difficult in the Northern Senior Fours, the hosts hitting 57, Birmingham 49, A&T third at 29 and Hull 19.
