A LITTLE Christmas shopping is on the cards for Pendle councillors although the festive season is still four months away.
A shopping list of Christmas decorations for Nelson town centre will go before Pendle Council's Nelson area committee, who have more to spend this year, on Monday.
Among the suggestions for the £7,500 has to spend on decorations are a Father Christmas climbing a ladder on the town centre clock tower, rope lighting for the tower and a nativity display on the Place de Creil.
Together with new trees on brackets and lights for outside town centre shops the decorations list will come to £7,990.
The council is hoping the extra money needed on top of the funds already allocated will come from contributions by traders.
