LANCASHIRE Evening Telegraph customers in Darwen will soon be able to pick up a paper or book an advertisement at a more central and spacious location.
The Darwen office of your local evening newspaper is moving from Railway Road to 26, Bridge Street.
The existing office will close this afternoon. The doors of the new base, just yards away from the proposed new Sainsbury's supermarket, will open at 9am on Monday.
It will be staffed by receptionists Jean Wright and Vanessa Moore along with reporter Andrea Muldoon who will be happy to help with anything ranging from ordering a photograph to investigating a news story.
The official opening will be marked with two afternoons of family fun next Thursday and Friday. The events will feature giveaways and special promotions.
