A-LEVEL students got the chance to learn about business in a two and a half day conference at Burnley Sixth Form Centre at Habergham High School.
In a joint venture between St Theodore's and Habergham High Schools, 210 students got the chance to take part in role play exercises, business games and case studies with local industrialists.
Conference co-ordinator Steve Campbell said: "They dealt with lots of practical activities such as designing, advertising, manufacturing, managing and finance. They also took part in a computer game where they made and sold bicycles.
"They had to decide what lines, how many different products, production costs and the sale price."
Advisers from local and national businesses included Virgin Rail, London Transport, North West Water and Rolls-Royce. The event was sponsored by British Aerospace.
