A GRANT has helped smooth the way to business success and new jobs for a Haslingden firm.
Advanced Technical Coatings had a problems with an uneven factory floor which was damaging machinery and products.
The company, which supplies railway fittings for the London Underground, was losing time and money because it was regularly having to repair stacker trucks damaged by the poor surface at the site on Hud Hey Industrial Estate.
Now thanks to help from the Action for Haslingden small business investment fund the problem has been solved.
Altogether ATC has invested more than £12,000 in improvements to the factory including replacement of the floor with reinforced concrete.
Now managing director Gordon Nicholass believes the improvements could lead to four new jobs being created over the next 18 months to add to the 45-strong workforce.
The company specialises in applying polymer coatings to metal components such as doors, seats, hand rails and luggage racks.
