CHILDREN in Oswaldtwistle had a colourful summer thanks to a competition run by their local library in Union Road.
It offered book tokens to arty kids who created the best colour pictures of popular characters Mog and Family and Winni Allfours.
The competition formed part of the library's summer activities programme. The winner of the section for children aged five to eight was Drew Owens and runner-up was Zabir Choudhary. Both attend Moor End County Primary.
First place in the nine to 11s went to Vicky Scott, who also goes to Moor End, with runner-up Isma Choudhary, who attends Rhyddings High, earning a badge and pen.
