ON Wednesday, September 16, members of Blackburn Lions took a coach party of people to visit Lyme Park in Cheshire and even though the weather wasn't kind to us, the tour of the hall and the viewing of the contents gave us an enjoyable day out.
On behalf of the members of the Blackburn Fellowship for the Hard of Hearing and all the other people on the coach, we would like to thank the Lions for a good day out.
Blackburn Lions work hard for the people of their town and they deserve all our thanks.
Unfortunately, one of our members suffered a fall just before we set off and had to be taken to Blackburn Infirmary where it was found that she had broken her hip, but she was operated on Thursday morning and is now recovering nicely.
