A GROUP of pupils are helping design an aircraft for the next millennium.
Students at Witton Park High school in Blackburn are taking part iun the Euro Collaborator project launched by BAe in conjunction with the CBI.
Over the next two years pupils from a network of schools around the country will use start-of-the-art software and video conferencing facilities to work together on the new aircraft.
"Although the project is classroom based it is very much about giving everyone an experience of real life industrial scenarios," said BAe's head of education and strategic liaison Chris Rogan.
