IT was a breath of fresh air to read the constructive praise you gave Blackburn with Darwen Council (LET, October 21).
You rightly acknowledged the nationally-recognised achievements of the authority's recent performance in managing positive change.
What a contrast your opinion was from the usual ranting we are constantly forced to read in the letters pages from Messrs Meadows, Spence and Duxbury.
Their regular whingeing contributions appear to come from individuals who live in a surreal world, unrecognisable to the rest of us.
