I QUITE agree with J Buckley (Letters, November 3) about the humps on the Roman Road estate in Blackburn.
Down Fishmoor Drive there are five or six humps plus the smallish ones in the middle. Then, turn left into Newfield Drive and you wouldn't believe the state of the road -- it is full of pot holes, is frequently flooded and hasn't received any treatment at all.
Is this because part of the road is on a private estate? Looking round Blackburn, it seems to me that all council-owned property seems to get priority over private estates.
I imagine that, come winter, the buses will refuse to go down these roads as they will have humps covered by mounds of snow and ice.
It will be like driving into a snow drift.
Come on, the council, justify these humps to a council tax payer.
A REID (Mrs), Barons Way, Blackburn.
