A TEAM of young apprentices are teaching their colleagues a thing or two!
Bosses at Padiham engineering firm Keith Newmark Ltd were so impressed with the skills its newest recruits had learned through training that it's now encouraging its other workers to take up similar courses.
"We quickly found that the national qualifications and structured training on offer through the XTEND Modern Apprenticeships could be of benefit to the whole workforce," explained personnel manager Paul Thompson. The firm worked with the Technology Training Centre and ELTEC to develop a similar training programme for other staff.
