REGARDING fireworks, we read in most papers there would not be any "whizz bombs" and big bangers this year.
But I have to say that, in our area of Great Harwood, there were more of these bangers than for a very long time.
These started a week before November 5 and on the Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5.30pm until midnight, it was terrible.
We have a loved pet cat which ran away one tea time and did not come home until the day after. How many more pets did the same, after being frightened by these fireworks?
It's time bangers were banned altogether.
