FLOODS returned to Hyndburn's roads last night after another day of miserable weather.
Heavy downpours which began in the morning left some of the borough's roads under more than a foot of water.
A large pool gathered at the entrance to the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Blackburn Road, Clayton-le-Moors.
Council highways chiefs were also called out to mop up outside the Game Cock Inn, Whalley Road, Great Harwood.
A spokesman for the operations department said: "We were called out to a few floods last night after a severe storm.
"The problems start because leaves are blocking gullies at this time of the year and water collects in dips in the roads."
