TRIPLE world champion Carl Fogarty helped raise £500 for charity thanks to a tribute evening held in his honour at King George's Hall.
Hundreds of fans who attended the event saw the World Superbike Championship trophy which Carl secured after his breathtaking win at Sugo, Japan, in October.
The Blackburn-born Ducati king finished third and fourth in the two races staged in Japan to beat title rivals Aaron Slight and Troy Corser to the title.
The tribute was the latest accolade for Carl who earlier this year won the MBE.
The £500 raised will go to the Mayor of Blackburn, Coun Florence Oldfield's chosen charity, the Golden Years.
