I DON'T know how the Prime Minister kept a straight face when he said in a television interview that Robin Cook was respected around the world and our best Foreign Secretary for years.
His reign as Foreign Secretary has been a series of blunders - from the Queen's visit to India to the latest crisis in the Yemen.
The problem is that Mr Cook is so arrogant and has very little tact or diplomacy. Those qualities are essential if you are the Foreign Secretary.
I don't mind Mr Cook being a cad in his private life if he is competent in his job. As he is obviously not up to the job, Mr Blair should remove him from that office as soon as possible.
